Yesterday was quite the day!

At work I treated three of my coworkers to lunch from Subway (which was delicious!) I didn't make one single phone call because I was too busy with paperwork and data entry, and I actually let my friend/supervisor, Pamela, take Holly Near home with her. (So far the withdrawal isn't too bad)

The Pride Parade after was WONDERFUL! I can't say that I felt too 'proud' because it seems really odd to celebrate humans for being who they are. Now maybe that's a good sign, because we're not - or at least I don't feel that in Rochester - we're not made to feel like freaks of nature for being gay. The protesters were there, with their megaphones telling us how we need to find God and turn away from Satan and how our 'pride' will be our downfall. And the funniest thing, Kodak was right behind us and the protesters (yes, 2 out of 3) blamed their job outsourcing on homosexuals! I almost peed my pants in my coworker's boyfriend's convertible. How ridiculous. But! they are entitled to their free speech, and God loves them too. I can only change hate with love. None of the family minded, they just screamed for beads that we were throwing out. Do you know what it's like to have hot girls yelling out for beads??? :) So as soon as that was done I walked back to my car (long walk to say the least) and listened to some of the protesters sing about the blood of the lamb. Creepy. Creepy lamb blood. Oh Lord, does this relate to the illuminati that lenskeeper was posting about???

Then I went to volunteer at my local coffee house where a girl named, Lauren Faggiano was playing. Great vocals, really shitty dynamics. I emailed her this morning to let her know she's not at her peak yet. And yes I was more tactful.
I drove back to my appt, with my new comedian friend, Mark, to change into some flip-flops because my sandals were killing my feet, only to find that the autobiography of Holly Near that I'd ordered came in!!! And I got a call from Stephen saying, "we're coming to the Coffee House to see you!)
So Stephen (my gay male counterpart at Unisys) and Mel came to visit, and they're so cute! I like Mel, I don't think I'm ready to date, but I'm excited to have more friends. Which reminds me, Tori called me yesterday at work to tell me that she missed me. And in all fairness I miss - and lover - her too. But it won't work, and we know that. So ok! I really didn't give it another thought.

At around 1130pm I went grocery shopping and the coolers broke so they took out all the chicken and well, everything that needs to be kept cold. Fun times. There was a cute lesbian couple running around and shopping, they made me smile.

After getting home and putting the groceries away, I thought it was the perfect time to clean the appt! So from 1230-115 I cleaned the litter box, the floor, the toilet, I swept, I picked up... 6 hours of sleep later I'm at work!

And later tonight I'm going to see my parents and have dinner with them. Fun!

Time to be productive!
